Sattriya Kendra was set up with an aim to promote, propagate and preserve the Sattriya tradition of Assam. The Sattriya Kendra, established in Guwahati as a part of Sangeet Natak Akademi’s project supporting Sattriya Dance, Music, Ankiya Bhaona (theatre), has been operating since July 2008 and has so far undertaken multiple activities for the promotion of Sattriya arts in different places across the country.
