Glory Bawa

Born on 13 September 1974, in Amritsar, Punjab, Shrimati Glory Bawa comes from a musical family, which includes Gurmeet Bawa, a famous folk artist of Punjab. She has a Masters and an M.Phil degree in Music.
Shrimati Glory Bawa has performed at cultural events such as the Commonwealth Games in Malaysia in 1988, under the aegis of ICCR; and the Governor's House, Jammu, on the occasion of Women's Day in a function conducted by All India Radio, Jammu. She has performed for various organisations such as North Zone Cultural Centre, Punjabi Virsa Vihar, Amritsar, Punjabi Academy, Delhi, and Punjab Art Council. She has performed all over India in the Folk and Sufi category for SPIC MACAY.
Shrimati Glory Bawa has received appreciation for her musical talent and performances. She is a recipient of the Mahinder Singh Randhawa Award in the field of Folk Music, given by Punjabi Sath Lambra, Jalandhar, among other awards. She has been a Grade B+ singer with All India Radio and Doordarshan for the last twenty years.
Shrimati Glory Bawa is awarded the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar of Sangeet Natak Akademi for 2013-2014 for her notable talent in the field of Folk Music of Punjab.
